At Alterations by Maheen, we are a mother-daughter duo—Mahin and Mahsa—passionate about providing expert alterations and tailoring services. Our journey began in March 2024, but our love for sewing spans much longer.

Maheen, our skilled seamstress, has been sewing for over 54 years. She earned her sewing diploma in 1971 at the age of 18, but her main career as a science teacher for 48 years never stopped her from nurturing her craft. For decades, she has continued to sew, sharing her expertise with those around her and perfecting her skills along the way.

I, Mahsa, grew up surrounded by the art of sewing. My grandmother on my mom’s side introduced me to the craft when I was just 4 years old. It became a passion I would carry throughout my life. Ten years ago, I earned my own sewing certificate, and after having my first child, I decided to turn my love for sewing into a business. My mom and I realized that starting our own tailoring business was the perfect way to combine our skills and serve our community.

Today, we are proud to offer personalized alteration services for all types of clothing, with a special focus on wedding dresses and formal wear. Our goal is to help each customer look and feel their best, whether it's for a casual outfit or the most important day of their lives.
